Mr. Donato is President and CEO of Acorn Group, Inc., a sales, leasing and management real estate firm principally operating in Central Indiana.

Since 1971, he has been active in real estate as managing partner for several real estate partnerships both in Indiana and south Florida. During this time, he has syndicated, managed and developed several parking facilities, office/medical office buildings and industrial projects in Indianapolis. He has been responsible for a number of office rehabs, including One North Penn (102,000 s.f.), Jefferson Plaza (105,000 s.f.), Willowbrook (282,000 s.f.), the Forum Building (75,000 s.f.), and Castle Point Offices (44,000 s.f.).

Before joining the real estate business full time in 1978, Mr. Donato was a general partner of Roney & Company, a national investment banking firm, where he served as co-manager and broker for their Indianapolis office from 1974 to 1978.

Mr. Donato is a graduate of Indiana University with a B.A. degree in Economics and Math. He holds the designations of Certified Property Manager (CPM) and Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). He is a past Director and President of the Building Owners and Managers Association of Indianapolis (BOMA) and has served on the BOMA International Finance Committee, Board of Directors and the Strategic Long Range Planning Task Force. He has also served on the Medical Building, Building Codes and Rehabilitation Sections. He is a past member of the Indy Partnership’s Advisory Council, the Near North Board and committees and is a past President and Chairman of Highland Golf and Country Club.

He has also served on the Parish Council for St. Alphonsus Church where he chaired the building committee and the construction of their new church building.
